過去中國醫生到德國攻讀博士，他們都只能申請到PhD博士。這種博士申請根本不難。因為在德國實驗室都有政府資金支持，他們拿到政府資助后，就會在大學官網上招募外國醫生免費幫忙做科研。他們以博士身份來到德國一般都會在實驗室呆上四年以上，有人甚至呆上七年之久。實驗沒完成，怎可輕易放你走，你想拿博士文憑，實驗室的PD想要科研成果為自已打通上升通道，這類德國PhD博士就是為德國科研機構免費工作。他們沒有任何機會進入到德國的臨床科室與科主任團隊一同工作。正如世界微創脊柱大師Mayer教授與中國院長開會時說道：“對一家醫院來說，我們需要的是醫生，純粹的科學研究應交給科學家。每家醫院最需要的是臨床醫學專家，在德國所有醫院的科主任和著名學會的關鍵學術領袖都是拿的臨床醫學MD博士學位。這才是做學科帶頭人的標配”。Mayer大師也是拿的MD博士學位。2019年仁醫醫療開創了中國醫生可以在德國著名大學醫學院攻讀臨床醫學MD博士的先河。德國大學附屬醫院學科帶頭人首次在中國帶臨床醫學MD博士生了。中國醫生又能在德國科主任主導的科研實驗室花一年的時間完成自已的博士論文，還能跟隨他們德國的博士生導師在德國著名醫院臨床科室學習一年，這是科研與臨床的緊密聯合。這對中國三甲醫院的學科建設和人才培養具有里程碑的意義。

Previously, Chinese doctors who wanted to pursue their doctoral degrees in Germany can only apply for a PhD degree. But this is not that difficult. In Germany, the university labs are funded by the government. The project coordinators get started recruiting international PhD students via their websites after they get the funding. Most of these students stay more than four years in the lab. Some of them even stay seven years there. They will not leave until the project is done. The students want a doctoral degree. The project coordinators want scientific output for promotion. Actually these PhD students are working for free for the labs. It is not possible for them to visit the clinic and work with the clinical team led by the Chair. As Prof. Mayer, the worldwide renowned minimally invasive spine expert, once said during a meeting with a Chinese hospital president. As a hospital, what we need are doctors. The basic research should be done by the scientists. What every hospital needs the most are clinical medical experts. All chiefs and key academic leaders of important societies in Germany are MD holders. Prof. Mayer is also MD holders. In 2019, Gloryren pioneered the opportunity for Chinese doctors to pursue an MD degree at renowned university hospitals in Germany. And this is the first time for the Chiefs of German university hospitals to host MD students from China. The Chinese MD students can spend one year for their doctoral project in the lab. They can also have a one-year clinical observership in prestigious German hospitals led by their doctoral supervisors. This is a deep integration of clinical practice and scientific research, which sets a milestone for the specialty construction and talent cultivation for the Grade Three Class A hospitals in China
